Handicaps & Batches

To keep things fair and spicy, paddlers will be grouped into Batches A through E based on their handicap. Think of it as your paddling personality group—no judgment, just good vibes.

The top 2 paddlers in each batch will score a Wilddog Performance Cap, color-coded to match their batch. It’s not just a cap—it’s a crown of downwind glory.

Before we get too far into this challenge and paddlers hit the water, we’re giving a well-earned shoutout to last year’s overall winner—Douglas McCready.

With sharp instincts and serious downwind finesse, Doug clocked the biggest improvement over a single kilometer and claimed the top spot in the handicap challenge. He paddled off with the coveted Downwind Travel Paddle Bag, proving that experience and grit are a powerful combo.
